Phillipa joined Liphook Equine Hospital in 2004 as an in-patient handler carrying out day to day duties in the hospital and caring for the inpatients. Phillipa quickly joined the yard nursing team carrying out nursing duties including intensive care and working night shifts. Phillipa qualified as an equine veterinary nurse (EVN) in 2012 after a three-year course at Hartpury College, and following additional training at Plumpton college, became a clinical coach in 2013. Phillipa has coached students at all stages of the NPL/CSL and finds it very rewarding. In 2013, following further study, she became an E-SQP. Since 2015, Phillipa has put her years of experience to good use in her current role as training co-ordinator ensuring that new staff members get all the information required to learn and thrive in the hospital.
