Apply for Level 3 Diploma
Contain application forms
We offer the opportunity for trainee nurses to study for a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Equine), a two-year course that will prepare you for a career in specialist equine nursing, regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
In order to apply you must meet the following criteria:

Are you employed by an equine or mixed practice?

You need to be working in an equine or mixed practice and your practice needs to be either a registered Training Practice or willing to become one.

Do you have the relevant qualifications?
In order to apply, you must have a grade C/4 or above in five GCSE subjects. This must include maths, science and English. If you do not possess all of these qualifications, your application will not be processed. However, you can re-sit these exams, and some equivalences will be accepted. If you are interested in finding out more regarding your options, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help.

Is your practice willing to support you in starting the qualification?
Ensure that your practice can provide the required level of support in the form of a clinical assessor. The clinical assessor must be able to support you throughout the qualification and must be someone with whom you work closely. The assessor will need to do a weekly tutorial with you and support and guide you through the practical aspects of learning. The clinical assessor must be a qualified vet or veterinary nurse and have an up to date CPD record and either a clinical coach training or assessor qualification.

If you are happy that you meet all the above criteria and have the full support of your practice, then please download, complete and submit the application form to Rosina.Lillywhite@theLEH.co.uk, who will contact you in due course.
Applications are invited for the next academic year (starting in September) and the closing date for applications for the following academic year is July 31st.
Candidates will be invited for interview in August.
